Kia Puāwai a corporate sponsor in Excellence in Foster Care Awards

The Excellence in Foster Care Awards is Caring Families Aotearoa's annual awards ceremony, which recognises the extraordinary efforts of caregivers in Aotearoa. The Excellence in Foster Care Awards honour ten foster carer couples or individuals for the extraordinary work they do, and we are excited to share that for the next awards ceremony in 2024, Kia Puāwai will be one of the corporate sponsors of the awards.  
 
Last year, there were some truly remarkable stories - caregivers who ensure the caregiving journey continues once tamariki establish their own families, a caregiving family who has cared for over 50 children, often with high and complex needs, a caregiving partnership who travelled every day to ensure the birth mother could breastfeed the baby in their care, a grandmother who moved countries to care for her four mokopuna, and a couple who always put tamariki first - even during many personal upheavals.
 
If you know someone whose caregiving goes above and beyond, now is the chance to recognise them by nominating them for an award.
