A big haere mai to our new Pasifika Matua Council elect chairperson – Matua Tigilau Ness (front row, second from left in top image).
Matua Tigilau sits on our kaunisela on behalf of the Niue community in Aotearoa. He is an activist, a musician (performing as Unity Pacific), a lead Niue parenting programme facilitator and a founder and member of the Polynesian Panther Party. Matua Tigilau also delivers the 'Educate to Liberate' workshops with the Polynesian Panthers team in schools.
Fakafetai to our formal or inaugural chairperson Rev Suamalie Naisali, who has led the kaunisela since 2022 and contributed much to Kia Puāwai during this time. Rev Naisali will continue as a valued member of the kaunisela.
