Rainbow Tick re-accreditation

Kia Puāwai is proud to receive our Rainbow Tick accreditation for another year.

In the report, it was noted that our engagement with Rainbow Tick demonstrated the value added to the workplace environment by creating an environment that supports the safety and inclusion of employees who are part of Rainbow communities. A range of inclusive measures have been put in place, including leadership support for Rainbow inclusion, education, and celebration specific to the Rainbow community, and external engagement that communicates our organisational values.

One of the key points was our new branding, which includes a rainbow tohu – reiterating our commitment to the Rainbow community. In the survey that was conducted by Rainbow Tick with our kaimahi, about 98% of respondents confirmed that Kia Puāwai is an accepting and inclusive organisation for Rainbow people. This environment can make everyone feel safe and strengthen their sense of belonging.

We have a highly skilled and passionate team of kaimahi and caregivers who come from a range of backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines. We actively seek out and celebrate our diversity of experiences, knowledge, and worldviews as we believe this strengthens our collective mahi.

Thank you to our Te Whare Whakaruruhau rōpu (Kia Puāwai Rainbow Advisory group) and everyone across the organisation who is part of our commitment to the Rainbow community.
